Multi-Level Blonde Garapa Deck

This custom multi-level blonde Garapa deck was built for a home in Edgartown, Massachusetts, surrounded by the classic weathered cedar-shingled architecture and natural beauty of Martha’s Vineyard. The goal was to create an outdoor living space that felt like a natural extension of the home while complementing its coastal setting.

The wraparound design flows directly from the home’s sliding glass doors, creating several connected levels for dining, relaxing, and entertaining. Wide, angled stairs lead naturally from the main living level toward the yard, while a shingled privacy screen adds a sense of separation without taking away from the surrounding landscape.

Blonde Garapa decking gives the project its defining character. Its natural grain and blonde tones create a warm appearance that complements the coastal home. Picture-frame borders emphasize the clean lines and craftsmanship throughout the structure. Matching Garapa treads, risers, and fascia carry the same look through the stair system and lower levels.

Designed for the coastal conditions of Martha’s Vineyard, the deck combines pressure-treated framing with stainless hidden fasteners and carefully selected Garapa components. The result is a durable structure with an elegant appearance that complements the home and surrounding landscape.

The finished deck creates a series of inviting outdoor spaces that feel both sophisticated and relaxed, offering the homeowners a beautiful place to gather, dine, and enjoy the property throughout the seasons.
