Custom Pool Pavilion

This custom pool pavilion and surrounding deck were designed to transform an ordinary backyard pool into a refined outdoor living space built for relaxing, entertaining, and enjoying the warmer months. Located in Bridgewater, Massachusetts, the project focused on creating a dedicated retreat that felt both elevated and naturally connected to the existing landscape. The homeowners envisioned more than a simple poolside seating area—they wanted a space with character, permanence, and purpose. The finished pavilion provides a comfortable shaded gathering area just steps from the pool, creating the perfect setting for outdoor meals, conversations, and summer evenings with family and friends.

The pavilion was carefully integrated into a custom wraparound deck, allowing the entire space to flow together as one cohesive design. The 18 × 18 ft pavilion was built with structural LVL beams, ceiling ties and rafters, ZIP board sheathing, Wolf PVC trim, architectural roof shingles, residential aluminum gutters, and beaded soffit paneling.

Every detail was thoughtfully considered, from the proportions of the structure and placement of the posts and beams to the integrated railings and seamless connection between the deck and pool area. The result is an inviting outdoor environment that balances beauty, functionality, and long-term performance—built to withstand the demands of New England weather while remaining an elegant extension of the home.

Completed in approximately three weeks, this project reflects MP & Son Construction’s commitment to quality craftsmanship and thoughtful design. The finished pavilion and deck provide the homeowners with a sophisticated outdoor space designed to be enjoyed season after season.
